TEMPE, Ariz. – November 10, 2011 – Zion & Zion today announces the addition of another senior marketing and advertising industry executive to its team. This addition to the Zion & Zion team is the latest in a wave of new hires adding to capabilities of the growing Arizona marketing and advertising agency. With the addition of Peter Juergens, whose background includes executive positions with E.B. Lane and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and work with clients including Make-A-Wish International, Williams Energy and Wal-Mart, Zion & Zion further extends its leadership position as one of the Southwest’s leading agencies.
Peter, who holds the title of VP Strategic Services at Zion & Zion, brings with him a wealth of experience from not only the agency world but also from having worked for and consulted for a variety of Fortune 500 organizations and international brands. Peter also holds both a B.F.A. and an M.A. degree from the University of Illinois and has completed executive studies in International Management at Thunderbird. Peter is known throughout the industry as a true strategic thinker and has been quoted in publications ranging from the Atlanta Journal Constitution to the Wall Street Journal. Peter also currently serves on the Board of Directors for Bank 1440.
Peter commented, “I’ve had the opportunity to work on both the agency side and on the corporate side of marketing and advertising. And I’ve come to truly appreciate how agencies today must not only speak the language of marketing directors, senior leaders, and presidents, but understand that what the agency provides and delivers is tightly integrated and aligned to the results of a client’s business. The partners and team members at Zion & Zion take this accountability head on daily, and it’s why I feel right at home.”
Zion & Zion CEO Aric Zion (@ariczion) added, “With the addition of Peter to our team, on the heels of our other additions year to date, we’ve got momentum that’s tough to match. As our business grows, we keep reinvesting and our team just gets stronger. Whether it’s IT, software, conferences, training, benefits, etc., we invest heavily to keep things moving forward. And, one of the advantages of not having experienced the downturn that the rest of our industry was subject to and having maintained continuous month-over-month revenue growth is that we can afford to hunt for the best talent that the market has to offer.”
Zion & Zion welcomes Peter to our ranks and looks forward to what he brings to both our team and our clients.
